Bangladesh cricketer Tamim Iqbal was rushed to the hospital after collapsing during a match in the Dhaka Premier League (DPL).
On Monday, March 24, while fielding for Mohammedan Sporting Club against Shinepukur Cricket Club at the BKSP ground, Tamim suddenly fell ill, prompting his immediate transfer to Fazilatunnesa Hospital in Savar.
Doctors confirmed that Tamim suffered a massive heart attack.
Due to the severity of the situation, it was not possible to transfer him to Dhaka right away.

An angiogram conducted at the hospital revealed a 100% blockage in his heart, leading to the decision to place a stent there instead of transporting him to Dhaka.
The Bangladesh Cricket Board`s (BCB) chief medical officer, Debashish Chowdhury explained that Tamim initially experienced chest pain, prompting his immediate transfer to KPJ Specialized Hospital.
After several tests, including an ECG, only minor issues were detected.
However, blood tests later showed complications that weren’t initially clear.
Chowdhury also revealed that Tamim had expressed a desire to travel to Dhaka, though he was experiencing some discomfort.
As a result, an air ambulance was called to transport him.
But on his way back to the ground from the hospital, Tamim experienced more chest pain.
He was rushed back to the hospital, where it was confirmed that he had suffered a massive heart attack.
Tamim is currently under medical observation.
His condition remains critical, and fans are eagerly awaiting updates on his recovery.
